Biodys has designed a microplant for esterification applications to determine optimal conditions for cation based resin esterification for high FFA oils at production size capacities. The microplant offers the customer the possibility to test a variety of resins for performance at production rates, but with only a minor use of feedstock and resin.

Biodiesel entrepreneurs who consider esterification as an option to deal with high FFA feedstock can now gather data from the microplant to accurately calculate the size and number of the required esterification vessels for full production and thus choosing for the most economical solution.
