Biodys CBE: FFA-to-biodiesel for everybody

Biodys CBE (consecutive bed esterification ) adds value to existing biodiesel processors and plants by converting free fatty acids  into biodiesel instead of soapstock as is the case with most existing biodiesel plants. CBE offers a higher yield, less consumption of base catalyst, a cleaner glycerol byproduct, less consumption of water, resin or other cleaning agent during the purification phase.

Existing batch reactors either from Biodys or from third party equipment suppliers can easily be adapted with the Biodys CBE system. Equipment suppliers and biodiesel producers can now upgrade their traditional batch reactor design into a high FFA, multi-feedstock biodiesel production system. Customers using first generation batch reactors only need to add a few valves and pipes to to accommodate the CBE system.
