Oil-to-biodiesel recipes
Biodys announces an online database with oil-to-biodiesel recipes, covering various vegetable oils and animal fats used for biodiesel production throughout the world. The database will include various treatments of high FFA oils like CPO, like traditional degumming, neutralization, esterification and also advanced methods like ion exchange esterification and transesterification. High FFA oils are currently a challenge for most biodiesel producers and access to optimized production methods is very limited. The online database will be made available to existing and new customers and users of our equipment.

New methanol recovery unit
Biodys introduces a new inline methanol recovery unit that can be used to strip methanol from biodiesel or glycerol in continuous or batch applications. . The Biodys EVA system is available in 3kW, 6kW and 12kW configurations. It features safety switch, dual thermostat, indicators, constant pressure valve and can be attached to the Biodys S500, Polarix tubes and several third party reactors.

Methanol for glycerol
Biodys as of Q4 will supply methanol against glycerol at a fixed delta price. This service allows producers of biodiesel to avoid high operational costs as a result of volatile prices of both products. Now biodiesel producers face methanol and glycerol prices going up and down, heavily affecting their profit on the main product biodiesel. Stay tuned for more or contact us for more information.
